Corinth, NY - William L. Baker, better known to most as Billy Baker, has passed away after an incredibly short and courageous battle with cancer. He was 62.

Although his life was cut short, he certainly lived it to the fullest. Bill worked for many years at Pallette Stone Corp, retiring in 2010. He loved his job as it gave him the opportunity to play with heavy equipment, which he loved to do. When he wasn't at work he was busy hunting, camping, ice fishing, working on his classic car, or puttering around the yard; coming up with any excuse to drive his bucket loader.

Nothing meant more to Billy than his family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years, Donna L. Baker; their children, Charlene Smith (Jason) of Saratoga, Robert Trentini (Tara) of Mechanicville, Sarah Grogan (Daniel) of Corinth, Billie Lynn Riley of Corinth; his mother, Geraldine S. Baker of Middle Grove and sisters, Joan McGrath (Gordon) of Greenfield and Loraine Eichorst (Edward) of Middle Grove. Billy is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by his father James Baker.

Relatives and friends may call from 5pm to 8pm Monday, March 25, 2013 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373).

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Williams name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211.
